What’s Around the Corner?

Genesis 12:1 says, “The Lord had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you.”

How tough would that be if you were in Abram’s shoes? I bet Abram was thinking, “What’s around the corner.” The Lord gave Abram no leads, no specifics, and no details of what was next! Would there be opposition, danger or a blessing of a life time? This will definitely require some faith!

But God also gave Abram a promise. Look at Genesis 12:2-3, “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curse you I will curse; and all people on earth will be blessed through you.” God made a promise to Abram and God came through with great miracles!

That was not an easy decision for Abram to make. Abram had the power to say yes or no. Should he stay in his comfort zone or be obedient to what God was directing him to do? Well, you know the story. Abram obeyed God even tho it didn’t make sense. But the question still remained; What’s around the corner?

What has God placed in front of you today? What has He been preparing you to do your entire life? Will you be obedient? Will you travel that path that God has called you to?

If you are in Christ, I believe He has a plan and a promise for you too! It may require great faith, and perseverance. Because that road may not always be paved and smooth! But if you are called to travel that road, there is good news! You will never have to travel alone. He will be with you every step of the way. That is a promise.

I want to encourage you to walk in faith, be obedient, and trust Him every step of the way. Don’t give up and keep pressing forward. No one can be 100% sure of what’s around the corner in their lives. But I know, I will be walking with the One who can see around the corner and who has already travel this road!

Hope you have a great Thursday! God bless!
