What a crazy week! So many things going on at one time. Sometime we have to step back and take a deep breath. It is hump day and we are loved! It’s time to hit the day running but get recharged before you do. Let’s get focused on the Father.

Titus 1:1 says, “Paul a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God’s elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness.” Godliness is something you don’t hear much about anymore, not even in the Church. In the first letter to Timothy, Paul talks about godliness. We are to pray for those who are in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. We are to train ourselves to be godly! We are called to pursue godliness.

1 Timothy 4:8 says, “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” Godliness is not optional for just a few super saints but it is an privilege and a duty of every Christian! God has given every one of us everything we need for life and godliness.

Scripture tells us that Enoch walked with God and he pleased God! Enoch’s life was centered in God; God was his focal point, the very meaning of his existence. Enoch was very devoted to the Lord. You see, devotion is not an activity; it is an attitude towards God. This attitude is composed of three different elements:

The fear of God.

The love of God.

The desire for God.

We make the mistake when we try to please God without taking the time to walk with Him and develop a relationship with Him. We try to develop Christian character and conduct without taking the time to develop God-centered devotion.

I want to encourage you to take time daily to refuel and spend quality time with the Lord. That means get away from all the distractions and take time to focus on Him. Enjoy you time with the Lord today! Get refreshed! God bless.
