Quiet Moments

Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Hearing God’s Word taught on Sunday morning is very encouraging and helpful, but there is no substitute for spending time alone with our Savior! Spiritual intimacy requires quiet moments when God can speak clearly to your heart. We need that time alone in prayer, meditation, and worship of Christ. We come to adore, praise, and delight in Him.

But we also need to dive deep into God’s Word! The Bible reveals who God is and what He has done for us. If you really want to know Him, you have to study His Word. In God’s Word you will find many hidden treasures daily! Let God’s Word come alive in you.

I want to encourage you this morning, to lay aside any desire in your life that supersedes your passion to know Christ! Jesus Christ wants all of you, not just part. Philippians 3:8 Paul says, “Count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus.” You can begin that deeper commitment today! It all starts with those quiet moments, just you and the Savior of the world. Take time this morning to listen, to be loved, and be refreshed! Yes Lord!

Enjoy your Sunday! God bless.
